New 3 Gb/s SDI Connections

The new DeckLink HD Extreme is the first capture card to include high speed 3 Gb/s SDI connections. 3 Gb/s SDI is the latest version of the SDI video standard that allows 4:4:4 RGB and 2K film connection with a single BNC type connection. 3 Gb/s SDI runs twice the data rate of normal HD-SDI video, however instantly switches to traditional standard definition and high definition SDI. 3 Gb/s SDI allows 4:4:4 RGB workflow or full resolution 2K feature film quality 24 fps 2048 x 1556 capture and playback. 2K via SDI allows a revolutionary change to feature film workflow as now you can connect film resolution video around your facility using the same familiar workflow as a "normal" video job! You'll love the full resolution HDMI input and output built into the new DeckLink HD Extreme. Use the HDMI output for connecting to any HDMI television or video projector for full HD resolution monitoring at much lower cost than a dedicated HD broadcast monitor. Imagine presenting your work to your clients using cinema size large screen video projectors or televisions! Use the built in HDMI input for capturing from cameras with HDMI outputs. DeckLink HD Extreme features unbalanced AES digital audio in and out as well as XLR balanced pro audio for incredible quality while maintaining sample accurate AV sync. DeckLink HD Extreme includes a sample rate converter on the AES/EBU input, so you can connect to any digital audio device, as either synchronized or un-synchronized sources. DeckLink HD Pro 4:4:4 PCIe — $1,195 DeckLink HD Pro 4:4:4 PCI-X — $1,495 If you're looking for a pure digital card for Dual Link 4:4:4 editing with Sony SR decks, but don't need a lot of the features of DeckLink HD Extreme then we have a feature reduced, but Dual Link 4:4:4 card called DeckLink HD Pro! DeckLink HD Pro is also available in a PCI Express or PCI-X models, and allows you to edit in high quality RGB 4:4:4 using the traditional Dual Link 4:4:4 video via 1.5 Gb/s SDI. DeckLink HD Pro is an older model so does not have 3D LUTs, 3 Gb/s SDI, HDMI, analog audio, or analog video input, however it's a good solution for 4:4:4 Dual Link editing when you need to build this support inside the machine as a plug in PCI card. Real Time Effects with Final Cut Pro

Built in Live Keying

DeckLink cards can be switched to keying mode with the Blackmagic LiveKey application. Output graphics from Photoshop or other software in SD or HD direct into production switchers, with fill and key output on the two independent SDI outputs on DeckLink HD Extreme.

NTSC, PAL 720HD and 1080HD

DeckLink cards have been designed to instantly switch between NTSC (USA and Japan) and PAL ( Europe and Asia), as well as all 720HD and 1080HD standards. SDI and analog connections switch easily between NTSC, PAL and all HD television standards. With a simple change of your settings you can have NTSC, PAL and HD media files on the same disk.
